~의 제물이 되다. ~의 희생양이 되다. ~의 먹이가 되다. 라는 뜻이다. 영영 사전을 찾아보면 to become a victim 이라고 나오는데 fall 에는 become 의 의미도 있기 때문이다. 특정한 상태가 되다. ~해지다. 예시로 우리가 잘아는 fall asleep 이 있다.
